Charlie is a collective improvising ensemble with Devin Gray (drums), Simon Jermyn (electric bass), Jonathan Moritz (saxophones), Ben Stapp (tuba), Owen Stewart-Robertson (guitar), and myself (trumpet). Charlie aims to employ simple melodic patterns traveling through the ensemble like weather patterns shifting over a lake.
